Well here are some images of Spring Fun. These were taken at either Easter at The Wieser Ranch, The Satsop Bulb Farm, Home, or Yakima Valley at the Barrel Tasting Festival.
Aaron is loving riding his trike, playing t-ball, girls, and going to grandma and grandpa's houses. Oh he has a quad that he rides too and loves.
There are some cute pix of Aaron's Cousin Miles in here too. He is growing so fast!
We had a very fun and adventurous annual trip to Bend/Redmond Oregon. Grandma and Grandpa Wieser, our family including Aaron and Lori all took the trek "over the river and through the woods" to Eagle Crest we go! http://www.eagle-crest.com/
We made it over the pass in record time and Aaron didn't complain one bit having to sit in the car for 8 hours. I think he had fun sitting next to Lori and watching movies with her. The watched "Lion Dance" which is what he calls Madagascar. He loves the "I like to Move it, Move it" song.
We stayed in a Chalet about a block from Grandma and Grandpa's Condo. It was nice that it was within walking distance. Grandpa cooked steaks for us the first night
We relaxed the first day and rented skis and ate at Deschutes Brew Pub. http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/ We had the best Seven Layer Dip appetizer and a round of beers. I loved the Coffee Stout and Lori was so happy to be able to have her Gluten Free Beer which tasted like Cider to me.
We picked the perfect day to ski. The sky was clear and there was fresh powder on the ground and since it was Friday the mountain was not too crowded. I am so glad Lori and I brought our small Point and Shoot digital cameras. We caught some gorgeous images, even though Lori's camera kept freezing up on her. We were finally able to ski the Summit and even though I was pretty chicken I am glad I went. The views were amazing. However I cussed Brent and Lori all the way down the backside. Back Country skiing is not for me. I like to be able to see where I am going and other skiers tracks are very comforting.
Dad talked us into all going golfing on Saturday. We decided to golf at Eagle Crest. It was sunny and gorgeous but the winds were making the course pretty challenging. After golfing we headed back to Deschutes for more brewski's and snacks.
After Aaron got up from his nap we took him for his first swimming experience. He was so excited but instantly overwhelmed with all the noise and chaos. He finally relaxed and started enjoying himself once daddy came in with a blow up "sunshine". The chlorine just about burned my eyes out but Aaron didn't seem phased. He cried when we had to get out.
The trip home was pretty uneventful. I am shocked that Aaron only slept 40 minutes on the whole ride back. We stopped in Vancouver and at at Who's Song and Larry's. I love that place. If you like Mexican food you must go there. I had the best Margarita and Carnitas. I am drooling thinking about it.
We are now home safe and sound. I am glad everyone had fun and there were no catastrophes.
Here are some pictures and video from the trip. This is a compilation of images from Lori, Dad and I but most are Lori's. She was the Camera Queen~
I am a former middle school teacher who has decided to stay home to care for her son Aaron. Since doing so I have reignited my passion for photography. I am looking forward to what the New Year will bring. New experiences, new friends, new adventures in 2009!
